Is Yixiu free? A guide to web listening and Plus
Yixiu’s web player needs no account. Start with five free nature sounds, three meditation tracks, one-minute Focus and 5/15/30-minute timers. Here is how the web player and iPhone Plus differ.
What can I listen to for free?
Choose Ocean, Rain on Eaves, Spring Creek, Morning Birds or Mountain Stream. The free meditation selections are Oasis Rest, Ocean Passage and First Breath. You do not need an account or a Plus purchase to try them. Sound is optional background; listen first and decide whether you enjoy it.
How do I set a timer?
Tap the duration above the play button and choose 5, 15 or 30 minutes. These are the free listening timers. One-minute Focus starts separately in the bottom Focus tab. Each recording has its own source length: a listening timer does not mean every original recording has that duration.
What does Yixiu Plus add?
In the current iPhone app, Plus unlocks all 14 nature sounds and 14 meditation tracks, 60-minute and unlimited listening, and 3-, 5- and 10-minute breathing. The web player provides the account-free experience. Plus is purchased and verified through Apple in the iPhone app. Check the App Store and the in-app purchase screen on your device for current pricing and purchase options.
Will the web player keep going when I lock my iPhone?
A dark display inside an open browser is different from physically locking your iPhone. Browser background rules can affect web playback. For listening after leaving the app or locking the screen, use the iPhone app and check its background playback setting in My Yixiu. The optional end bell is off by default and does not replace a system alarm.
Why might an earlier owner have different access?
Verified owners of Yixiu 1.2 or earlier retain their previous nature sounds and existing benefits. That differs from the new-user free selection. Use the original Apple account and check Restore Purchases; the web player alone cannot tell you whether an earlier purchase has been restored.
Start with the moment you have
Try five minutes of rain before bed, ocean sounds while reading, or one-minute Focus between tasks. There is no streak to maintain. This guide reflects the public Yixiu 1.13 listing and the current web player; we will revise it when these features change.
